Chapter One

Breena Sanchez had been through a tough few years. Two little children at home, ages 2 and 4. Husband had been caught drunk driving for a forth time and was now doing a 3 year stint in Donovan State Prison. Breena had to go back to work much earlier than she had planned, but did land a good job as an Accounting Assistant at a security company in San Diego. She had a flexible schedule and could often work odd hours alone in the building, giving her freedom with her child care. She was still a little self conscious about a bit of baby weight she hadn't been able to lose, work hours and the drain of motherhood made it hard to eat right or work out regularly. Money was a struggle as her husband obviously wasn't helping, but she did get to keep medical and dental insurance for her and the children because he was a ward of the state until he got out in 2 years. Breena was a smart girl and had found a way to save money through her job by skimming fractions of cents off past the second decimal of the accounts payable as the money came in. It doesn't sound like a lot but with 25 million dollars coming in it didn't take long for her to collect almost $10K. She figured no one would ever find out and if the CFO couldn't catch it no one could.
