Karen's Surprise The invitation to meet his father-in-law at the Club on that Tuesday afternoon had come quite out of the blue, but Nigel knew that such invitations were very rare indeed, and so he quickly rearranged his schedule and drove out to the Club.

As he swung in through the ornate gates and up the gravel drive to the impressive former hotel that housed "The Town Club", he speculated on what Karen's father could possibly want with him.

He parked his weathered Citroen Estate carefully between two impressive BMW's, and strode across to the front door, and rang the bell. After a moment the door was opened by an impressive coloured man in traditional Butlers' attire.

"How may I help you Sir?" he asked.

"My name is Nigel Lee. I'm here for a meeting with Peter Spencer"

"You are expected Mr Lee. Please follow me". The man fully opened the door and gestured for Nigel to enter. Shutting the door behind him, he led Nigel down a wood panelled corridor, and knocked at a door. "Enter" came the command from within, and the Butler opened the door, and they entered what appeared to be a large office.
