I was away in Scotland for a week of R and R and just getting away from it all for a while. The girlfriend couldn't get any time of work so I'd ended up going on my own. I was stopping in a very nice little cottage with fantastic views. It would have been quite romantic if I'd got the right woman with me.

The weather was typically Scottish, so it was a case of wrapping up and making do. Getting out and about to see the scenery, and the coach loads of tourists that seemed to be at every attraction or good view.

Anyway, on the third evening I was there I decided to go out for a meal at the hotel restaurant that was just a short walk from my cottage. I felt like a bit of a loner with my 'table for one' but the food was really good so I couldn't moan.

After eating I went through to the bar to relax and have a whiskey or two. I was at the bar deciding which single malt to have when two Japanese ladies came up to me.

"Hi" one said "Are you here on your own?"

"Hello. Yes I am" I replied

"Come and site with us" the second suggested, then: "Did we see you earlier today?" ...
