I'd now like to recount for you, the tale of what happened when John moved into his flatmate's parent's house, which is No 3. As has been mentioned, Tom caused a small fire in the flat he was sharing with John; nothing alarming, however, their none too happy landlord insisted they move out, albeit temporarily, while he had the damage repaired, painted and decorated. Since Tom caused the fire, his parent's, Mark and Emily Stevens, were most adamant that the young 19 year-old should stay with them, and so it was...!

Taking some clothes and certain valuables with them, Tom had his old room, which he'd stay in when he visited his folks, while John had the third bedroom next to his friend; the master bedroom, which Tom's parents were, since they are still young - both mid 30's - sexually active in, being located at the other end of the terraced house.

Tom, 19, worked five days a week as an office clerk while John studied 21 hours, 3.5 days a week Mon to Thu. They had moved into Tom's parent's 12 days before this particular Friday, when Emily, having let John lie-in, got on with the laundry, which she was part way through doing.
