I had been going through a pretty rough time, having caught my girlfriend of several years running around behind my back with several guys. It was tearing me up inside. I had done everything for her and this was the way that she thanked me. I headed over to my friends house to wait for him to get home from work, so that we could grab a few beers and bullshit for a while. I got in my car and headed over to his place.
