A Pleasant Evening in Seattle

I was headed overseas to the Far East on a business trip that would take me through the Seattle, Washington airport. Somehow I managed to get my travel arrangements screwed up so that I couldn't possibly make my connection from Seattle on to Tokyo that day and ended up having to spend the night on the West Coast. I hate having to spend an evening on the road with nothing really planned to do when suddenly I remembered that my good friends Sue and Jeff lived in Seattle. I dug out the phone book and looked up their phone number to see if they were free to get with me for dinner.

The phone rang several times before a very nice female voice answered and it was Sue. I told her it was Tom Land calling and asked her if she and Jeff were possibly free to meet me for dinner somewhere nice that night. I'd become friends online first with Jeff and then with his wife Sue through the erotic stories they'd written and published and they had also become fans of my writing.
