I had gotten myself into some financial trouble lately and really needed to fix my situation. My husband was on the outs with me because I had managed to rack up a huge amount of debt on my credit cards and he wanted me to deal with it myself. I had lost all control over my spending and really managed to dig myself a deep hole that I now had to get myself out of. I unsuccessfully looked for a job for almost 2 months, before coming across an ad from a local bakery. It was a small mom and pops style bakery and they were looking for counter help for the morning hours. I told my husband about it and his exact response was that he didn't care what I did as long as I got the money that I needed to pay off all of my bills. I decided to look into the bakery to see if I could get the job. I went by first thing the next morning and met with the owner of the bakery. He was an older guy, probably in his late 50's and ran the place with his wife but she had gotten sick and was now bedridden.
