While the rest of my staff headed out for the weekend, I, on the other hand, was stuck with the quarterly reports, which had to be ready for collection tomorrow. Having figured it would take me a few more hours, I ordered a cab for then.

‘Angh, no, now what?' I said to myself, almost out loud, having noticed another mistake. Just then, Nigel popped his head in the doorway of my office.

"How goes it, Susan?" he enquired respectfully.

"Don't ask, it's driving me nuts," I informed him.

"Would it help if I took a look at it for you?" he proffered.

"Would you? While I make a drink," I rejoined. And leaving Nigel to cast his exceptionally expert eyes over it, I went to the kitchen and made a mug of tea.

Having soon returned, he explained where the mistake was, and informed me that he had corrected it.

"Thanks Nigel. Now, why don't you go and enjoy yourself? I'm sure your lady friend, Amy is it..." I started to say.
