Chapter 1

The interior of the coffee shop was cool and dark and Glynnis thought how fortunate she was to have found such a uniquely peaceful refuge from the daily bustle of the town.

She wondered where Elia had gone. For eight weeks now she and her newfound friend had come here after the gym but today Elia had not turned up, nor was she answering her phone.
