Dear readers: If you've been reading my stories, you know I often write about older women and younger men. I write about these special liaisons because when I was a young man, I had my first experience with an older woman, the mother of a classmate. She was forty-two and I was eighteen. I never forgot that experience, and even today, in my mid-fifties, I still remember her careful and tender way of guiding me through what was simultaneously a terrifying yet sensual encounter. From that quiet Sunday afternoon and on, I found myself attracted to older women.

The following story is based on fact. The mother of one of my best friends was, indeed, an actual flight instructor during her free time. I was in my early twenties, and was finally in a position to afford flying lessons at an airfield just outside my small southern town. The fact that my friend's happily married mother was my instructor caused me many sleepless nights as I lay fantasizing about her, and having my way with her. In the end, just before I entered the U.S. Army, she sent me off with a going away gift I will never forget. This story is based on that event.
