The Class Reunion

The announcement arrived recently in the mail announcing that my fiftieth Class Reunion from college would be held this fall. I had thought about going but was not sure that I wanted to go. My College experience had not been that great. I had lost contact with most of the people that I hung around with. The last time I saw my roommate was at our fifth year reunion. Recently I said goodbye to my best friend, my wife, a woman who I had been faithful too for over 40 years. She had been killed in an auto accident. We did not attend the same college so she did not know about my almost year and a half relationship with Kris.

I finally decided to go. It would be a chance to get away I could stop and see my daughter and Grandchildren on my way out. I was retired so I had no commitments and looked forward to a road trip. I made reservations at a local hotel in the next town. I went to a small college located in a small town that really did not cater to the tourist trade. I RSVP'd back to the school and started to wonder who would be there. I even wondered if my girlfriend from my Junior and part of senior year would be their? Kris and I broke up our senior year after I started dating the woman who would become my wife.

As I got ready to go I became nervous and almost decided to back out but I decided to go. Spending a few days with my Daughter and her family ...
