Mutually Assured Destruction, Part 5

With the drapes closed, we were standing in muted light. The world seemed at peace. Jackie asked me what we were going to do now, and I told her that it was time to go out and explore the city. I asked her if she wanted to shower and get cleaned up, and to my surprise, she said, "No. Let's just leave everything where it landed on our bodies. It will remind us of what happened. We'll wash our faces and our hands, and that is it." That is the answer I would have given her, but I was surprised that it was what she wanted.

We each chose a bathroom and did as we had agreed. We met in the bedroom to get dressed. I guess I was more self-conscious than Jackie. I had a towel around my waist, while she was still nude. Jackie and I put on our undergarments, and she asked if we could lie down and just cuddle for a few minutes. We lay down, and engaged in what a previous generation would have termed pillow talk. We talked, and as we talked we would gently caress an arm, or a thigh, or a back. It was just so comfortable. We talked about a lot of things that might otherwise have taken a year's worth of dates to come out. I asked again if there was anything else she never told men on the first date, and she laughed and said that there was something else which she thought she needed to tell me.

"You know that I am a dental hygienist..." That seemed utterly obvious ...
