It was early Sunday afternoon. We had returned from the Art Museum and had a quickie back at the hotel. Jackie was dressed in a red halter top, a short but billowing skirt, and sandals. I could see eyes following her as we crossed the lobby.

I settled the account, and the valet brought the car around. We got into the car, and Jackie said, "One of my favorite places to go when I was studying at U-Penn was Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square. Could we stop there on the way back?"

"Sure, and after that, I think that we will go back down through Delaware and across the Bay Bridge to Annapolis. On the way, we'll pass through Cambridge for dinner. They are having a muskrat and crab boil there today." My comment was met with silence, utter silence.

Then Jackie said, "You're not serious are you? You want to eat muskrat for dinner?"

I laughed and said, "Not really. We'll stop for seafood somewhere. But first we need to make one more stop here in Philadelphia. Jeweler's Row."

Again, complete silence until in an uncharacteristic, small, tentative ...
