The party was getting loud downstairs.

Marie had told her son Michael he could have a few of his college friends over. It was Saturday night, and four young guys had shown up with a case of beer and some DVDs. They were college students, over 21, and Marie had met most of them at one time or another. Polite, athletic, smart—but she knew they liked to party hard.

The last few months since the divorce had been rough on Michael and Marie both. She'd caught her husband having with his secretary in their bed—what a cliché—and kicked him out. They were still arguing about alimony. The stress of dealing with lawyers and trying to figure out how to pay the bills meant that Marie couldn't sleep or take care of everything the way she used to.

Michael was trying to help—she was pleasantly surprised that he decided to stay with her at home instead of finding a place of his own—but Marie was depressed, angry, and on top of it all, horny.

Thinking of her ex-husband getting sex from that slut only made everything worse. Marie could barely concentrate on her own job and keeping the house relatively neat and clean. The only good thing about the situation, she thought as she sat at the kitchen table, was that she was too stressed to eat, which meant she'd lost close to 20 pounds since getting rid of that bastard.
