I have a routine established when I go to the studio. I sign in and spend a few minutes with the receptionist, who is becoming a good friend, and then I check with scheduling to see if there is anything I want to apply for. My next stop is the production office, where I spend some time with Danny and check for any messages.

When I went to work in the morning, I had just stepped in to the production office when Danny said a major contract was about to be signed and I told him that I might not be part of it since Adam was pressing me to quit. John came out of his office with a smile on his face.

"I have a suggestion," he said. "Why don't you tell him that you signed a contract. Say a six month, or a year, whatever you need. Danny can have legal type something up and back date it.'

It wouldn't be a lie," Danny added, "because you did sign a one year non-compete contract that first day."
