I was packing a few things into my suitcase as I finished getting ready to go away for a little while. My job had offered me a much higher paying position with the company and I had accepted it but in order to accept the position, I agreed to go back to school for a little over two months to take a couple of classes so that I could get a much-needed certificate. I wasn't completely thrilled about going away because it would require me to be away from home for a while. I knew my husband would take care of things and that my son would be fine but that didn't make it any easier. On the other hand, once I got past these couple of months I would be working just beneath the CEO of my company and would be making a very nice salary. I knew that I had to do what was best in order to help support my family so I agreed to do everything and my company was even nice enough to pay for the school so all I had to do was go. The unfortunate part was that the college that offered the classes that I needed wasn't close to home so I would have to shack up in the dorm for that time that I was there. I wasn't crazy about that part because I had already gone to the school and taken a tour and it was a coed dorm so I wasn't guaranteed a female for a roommate. I pretty much had to take whatever was available. Once I was done packing my stuff, my husband loaded everything into the car and we were eventually on our way.
