Post-Education Comeuppance

Chesley returned from the International Economic Council meeting in Hong Kong on Thursday evening. David picked her up at Richmond International airport at six. They kissed at the baggage counter and she whispered in his ear, "I never knew how much I could miss you. It's been a long two weeks." David smiled at her and said, "I know. And I've missed you and your smile every minute of every day." Chesley turned quickly and managed to catch her passing baggage by the top handle, David grabbed the side handle and together they hefted the large bag to the floor. David wheeled it to his car slung it in the trunk and they drove away from the Terminal jammed with arrivals and departures as they joined to form a long slow drag-line of vehicles heading for their various destinations.

After they reached highway speed Chesley said, "I'm starved. Let's stop for dinner somewhere. I don't care where as long as they can feed me." David nodded and took the next freeway exit and drove directly to an IHOP he had used in the past. They were seated in a booth, scanned the menu offering and both decided on Denver omelets with a side of strawberry pancakes and decaf coffee. While they waited for their dinner, they began discussing their happenings over the last two weeks. Chesley smiled and said, "Did you fuck Aunt Lil again as I asked you to do? Did she enjoy it if you did?"
