I was wondering whether to give a long preamble about how this is a story unlike one I've written before. A little bit experimental. But I decided I'll let the story stand for itself.

The iron gates clanged shut behind me with a sound of finality. I was in the convent, locked in the cloister, expecting a life of devotion to God, chastity, and helping the unfortunate.
