I woke up to total darkness. And I couldn't move.

It took awhile to realize that I was blindfolded and shirtless, my hands tied behind my back while my legs chained to a small bench. The scents were mostly of large trees, moldy cement, blood, sweat and urine. It only meant one thing...

I'm inside the rebel camp, most likely in their prison or interrogation "room". From the smell of things and the way the bench wouldn't budge from its position, I'd say it's the interrogation "room" also known as the torture chamber.

We military men would know since we have our own version of "interrogation" that most of the militant rebels feared. I'm not exactly proud of our methods but they are certainly effective. So effective, even some of the rebel camps have included most of our "processes" into their torture staples.

As my consciousness slowly became clearer, I hear a couple of iron doors banging open then closed, screams of pain from familiar voices and bellowing men from about a dozen feet away.
