We were all huddled around the table in Melissa's living room as we toasted our shots, before taking them. My husband and I had spent the afternoon hanging out with his friend Michael and wife Melissa for a barbecue and since then we had the party into the living room where we were all enjoying a few drinks while watching TV as we were drinking, Melissa flipped through the channels and came across the show wife swap on one of the networks and we jokingly began watching it while telling each other what we would do in those situations. As we were watching the show. My husband and Michael discussed how they could do better than the wives that were on the TV screen. They began going back and forth, telling Melissa and I that they could fill in, in anyone's homes and the women would have no complaints. We both laughed because we knew that they were both drunk and egged them on. On and on they went, telling us everything they would do if they were put in a situation like the one that was on the TV front of us. As they were doing so, Melissa drunkenly blurted out that they should put their money where their mouths were. We continued to drink and joke around about it, but the guys seem to get a bit more serious with the suggestion that Melissa had made. As they did, she told them that we should swap husbands for a week and see whose husband would do more for the other spouse. Everyone laughed about it, but at the same time seemed kind of serious about the idea. I wasn't completely crazy about it, but at the same time I wasn't against the neither. If it meant a few days away from my husband, then I wouldn't mind.
