The Ferry Trip

As I sat on the ferry to Holland out of Harwich on a cold dark November evening, I wondered what this 7 hour crossing would bring.

It was another trade show in main land Europe and as the new member of the team, and being closest to the UK exit port of Harwich it fell to me to drive the stand out in the hire van. I had done the run many times before, so knew what to expect. An OK evening meal, a few beers watch a few people try and dance and then bed ready for the drive to the show when we dock.

I had eaten and moved to the lounge area. The lights were dimmed as it was about 10pm and those that had not got cabins were sprawled out on the long settees. Those that had cabins like myself were in the normal chairs as we would go to bed when we wanted.

I went to the bar, order a coffee and a large scotch as my final night cap and settled down with my book for a little bit before I went to bed. I say book, it was one I had down loaded on to my kindle. As you can imagine it was a story with a sexual under tone and flavour.
