LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST: CHAPTER 1

Brent Curtis sat at his desk and looked out across the parking lot. He had a life many people would envy, but he still knew something was missing. He had met his wife Alyssa when they were in high school. She was a high school cheerleader and he was the local football hero. They had dated junior and senior years and went off to college together. In junior high school, he developed the habit of working out regularly and had never stopped. At 35, he was still in good shape. Standing 6'3" and weighing 230 pounds, he was solid muscle and the same size he was when he played football in college. He had been an all-state running back in high school and did really well in college. He set a couple of state rushing records and would have gotten offers from pro teams but he blew out his knee doing something dumb his senior year of college.

He was smart enough to pay attention in class and had earned a degree in business. Thanks to his football scholarship, he graduated without the crippling student loan debt that so many of his friends had. He had worked in his grandfather's fast food business since he was a kid and knew it well. His grandfather was best man when Brent and Alyssa got married right after college graduation. She got a job doing market research for a local company and Brent returned to the family business. His grandfather retired when Brent graduated from college and he took over the family business.
