Story outline: It was the evening of Tina's twin stepbrother's birthdays while their parents were away for the weekend visiting a sick relative. As she passed the boy's bedroom door, Tina heard them hatching a plan with Nathan, a black guy.

It was 7pm, the evening of my twin stepbrother's 19th birthdays. My mom and their dad had left just before lunchtime, having received a phone call from their grandfather. That was all we were told. They would be away until Sunday, my stepfather had told us. If the boys had a party, which I dare say they would, he told them to make sure they cleaned up afterwards and not to break anything.

When it was my birthday, not so long ago, my 18th, as it happened, I had to go without. As you can well imagine, I was more than pissed off at my stepdad's leniency towards his sons. If the relative was my mom's, she would have insisted I came as well. How things had changed, I realised, since they got married.

The boy's get away with so much more, irrespective of our insignificant age differences. Although I'm not their father's real daughter, he nevertheless scolds me for coming home late while letting Alan and Ralph stay out as long as they want. It might be me, but I feel he is attracted to me. The feeling, however, is far from mutual, while Ralph, even though they are identical in looks, is otherwise appealing.
