As the springtime was turning into summer I'd just about completed the changes to my life that I felt were necessary at this juncture. I'd found a new home in a different location where nobody knows me, and I was now between jobs as I contemplated my future. As a confident and gregarious person I had no qualms about seeking fresh opportunities or making new friends, which as it turned out, happened much sooner than I expected.
