I woke up. It was still dark, but my body was on California time. I was in Mia's bed, in her apartment in London. She was asleep alongside me, naked. We'd had sex before we went to sleep, but since we were both tired from the long flight, it was more of a duty to each other than a true celebration of being together in another city.
