A new story. But as usual there is not really any sex in the first chapter, but it sets up the rest of the story. Enjoy.

I got back to my hotel after a day of meetings. People seem to behave one of two ways on business trips. The first type of person stays in their room, lies on the bed watching TV, and gets something mediocre brought up from room-service. The other type of person never gets room-service and prefers to go out. I am like that. Even at home, I don't watch a lot of TV, but on the road I don't let myself turn on the TV. A drink in the bar, a meal on my own in a restaurant nearby, all makes for a more interesting evening to me. Plus, you never meet anyone lying watching TV in your room, but in bars and restaurants you often meet someone interesting.

I have a rule always to talk to everyone. For one thing, everyone tends to be interesting if you get them onto something you know well. They guy next to you is a roofer? There is interesting stuff to learn about roofing. For example, it is one of the most dangerous jobs you can do, up there with being a fisherman or a lumberjack. She is a hospice nurse? It is interesting to know how anyone can cope with constantly making new friends and then having them die almost immediately. ...
