With the warm temperatures and summer season right around the corner, I began to think about what happened to me last summer. Especially, since I might have to travel overseas again this summer. Early in the year last year, my family received a call from some family members in Spain, letting us know that a few issues had come up with some of our properties that we own over there and they needed someone to come out and tend to a few of these issues. My father, was generally in charge of everything, had recently had foot surgery and couldn't travel. My mother was tending to him since she had worked in a hospital most of her career so she couldn't go as well. I was actually off of work for the summer, and decided that I would fly over and take care of everything. I hadn't gone on vacation in quite a while, so it would be a nice getaway. My husband couldn't go because it was his busy season at work so I was flying solo. I looked forward to a couple of weeks by myself, and hopefully getting a little rest and relaxation. The time to fly quickly arrived, and after saying our goodbyes at the airport, I was on my flight and headed for Spain. It was a seven-hour flight, and I was very excited once the plane landed. I hadn't seen my family in Spain in almost 10 years so it would be great to catch up.

After dealing with everything at the airport, and getting my car rental, I began the long drive to the city where my family lived.
