For those of you unfamiliar with PowerPoint, the core of this particular story, it is Microsoft Office's easy and fun to use presentation programme. With it, you can produce amazing slides, including animation, the perfect tool for, but not just, advertising.

Chances are the advertisements you see in newspapers, magazines and on posters, were produced using PowerPoint or something similar.

You work with what are called slides. Although totally different to a transparent frame of a processed film, the area within the slide's frame is the same - Almost square.

When working with a portrait image, borders are used to mask the area either side of the actual advertisement.

Presentations can, and invariably are, linked to what is commonly known as a whiteboard. Especially when the presentation is given to more than one person. Imagine the previous alternative, several people huddled around a PC monitor.
