Escapism and Anonymity - Part 1

About a year ago I took an assignment helping a prominent person ghost-write a popular book that was released for the holidays. This wasn't new to me, as I've done this with other authors and there's actually good money to be had once you're in demand by the publishers and top agents. As part of my routine, I find it helpful to getaway to either a hotel or isolated environment so I can focus and immerse in the task at hand. And although I can't say it's something I'm proud of, these getaways can last a few weeks and have resulted in some dalliances ranging from one-night stands to a few extended affairs.

For this particular book, I was offered a cabin that the publisher arranged for me, located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. And if you didn't know --- besides being a truly beautiful part of the country, it's also the home to some active nudist colonies, that wasn't initially known to me.

I planned to be at the cabin in Canandaigua for at least 2 to 3 weeks, and had arranged for my husband and teenage kids to take care of things at home while I was away. It was a welcomed break that I was eager for, as Bill and I had grown apart for a number of reasons --- including his own infidelity. We weren't having sex much at all ...
