--- AKIKO ARRANGES FOR KURT AND MARIKO TO MEET IN LAS VEGAS ---

From the first time Akiko reached out to Mariko, there were a few more phone conversations between them about Kurt's coming trip. When Akiko asked how Mariko met her husband, Mariko explained that she met Hershel Barry "Harry" Filmore, two days after Kurt left for the US in August 1993. Harry was the new one-year homestay her parents took in. He reminded her of Kurt in some ways. She said he proposed after a month into his homestay. She said it was a whirlwind romance and that Harry and she wed on October 10, 1993, in the US Base inside Okinawa where he served in their IT department as a Senior Analyst. He had a good job and wonderful benefits like housing, paid vacations, free airfare, medical and dental insurance, and use of the any US Airbase facilities. After the ceremony, Harry and Mariko lived off-base in a rented home about two blocks from Marko's parents. She had her first son, Jessie, in 1994. Jessie was their honeymoon baby. Then she had Liam in 1996 and Nathan 1998. Harry was eventually promoted in the year 2000 and ...
