I'd been a delivery man for a large Department Store for 30 odd years when young Lee became my protegee and sidekick. My job always needed two as we delivered furniture and electrical goods all around the region; and we very quickly 'hit it off;' even though at 62 I was 15 years older than his own Dad, who wasn't in his life any more after leaving his Mother when he was 10.
