THE NEW COACH

Kyle Anderson did not want to take over coaching the girls soccer team. He was busy with his boys team and teaching and several extra-curricular activities. But with the recent and sudden departure of Margaret Stevens, the current head coach, the team was left without a strong leader.

As he looked at the schedule and upcoming tournaments, he shook his head, trying to figure out how to manage all this. "Just please do me this favor. The assistant coaches are volunteer parents and quite frankly aren't very good. You are one of the best high school coaches in the state, and just please fill in for now until I can get a replacement, " he remembered his long time friend, and principal of the high school, Jerome Smith, say to him a couple of days ago.

He sighed. "Alright, I guess I can make this work for now," and he went back to planning. He noticed a tournament out of town in a few days.
