I don't know how Amy got people to leave as fast as she did, but it seemed like no time at all before the phone rang. I grabbed it and said, "Hello."

"They're all gone," she breathed into the phone. I felt my body tingling, just from hearing her voice. One thing I'd discovered was that each of my lovers was enough different from the others so that they all excited me in different ways. I couldn't have chosen which one was best. I read once about a man who said the best lover he'd ever had was the one he was with at the time. I was beginning to understand what he meant. Amy, when I was with her, was fantastic. But, then, so were Trish and Lucy. And now I had the prospect of Jennifer. She was certainly a magician with her mouth. If the rest of her love-making skills were as good, I was in for a real treat with her.

My house isn't that far from Amy's so I walked instead of taking my car. I thought there would be a lot less chance of being seen that way. Leaving in the morning without being seen might be a problem, but I'd worry about that then. The house wasn't as brightly lit as it had been ...
