Since I don't have a blog, and messaging through ES internal mail only reaches a portion of my readers, LOOSE ENDS seems to serve as the best outlet for information to my fans, my readers, and to everyone on EROTIC STORIES.

I don't have a lot of news, other than to ask a question, and share some upcoming story info. First my question. Sort of a chicken or the egg situation.

I am not calling anyone out, nor would I. Years ago I had a sniper, he was extra critical with my work, something set him off, and he voted really low on four separate, unrelated stories. When replying to his harsh, unnecessary feedback, he got bent and went right to voting 1 and 2 on many of my stories, tanking my scores. Besides being an asshat move, since I do not get paid for my time or effort, and I don't always get feedback on what I post, the votes and overall scores serve as my reward.

In most cases I try to write good stuff and Dennis is an excellent editor.

So, short version, Art investigated, it was obvious dumbfuck was solely focused on attacking me, and he was banished along with several faux profiles he created after his ban and was dumb enough to use those to also vote low on me. The 1's, 2's and really all of his votes were erased and that was that.

Why am I sharing this story? Because like I just said, I do not get paid for my work and honestly I don't want to. Someday I will take AMAZON up on their offer, but if I really wanted to, I could publish to KINDLE. I already have, twice.

But in regards to voting and feedback, what is right and who is right? The reader who chooses to read my stories but doesn't like something, hits me with a 6, 7 or 8, and crushes my overall score? Or me who asks "Why are you concerned about missed edits, sentence structure, how long my sex scenes are, whether I have stories sitting unfinished waiting for more parts, or even how I write conversations between my characters?

Based on feedback and outside sources reading my work before it goes up on ES, I think I write good stuff, and yes, I admit that life and distractions sometimes cause me to write ‘another' new story rather than add to or finish so many of my existing ones.

Where can we find happy, fair, middle ground?

Could you message me or send me feedback why you didn't like something but NOT tank my scores? Or should I suck it up and continue to stress over vote scores when I have to choose between writing or finishing a story over spending time with my girlfriend, catching up on my shows, playing Xbox, or hanging out with friends.

There are only so many hours in a day.

Thank you for reading. I truly mean that. I look forward to hearing from you with thoughts about this difficult question. Do I owe it to you to write, edit and post stories and just accept the votes along with feedback, positive or negative? Or, should I expect that for the quality of my work, votes of 9 and 10 just because the majority feel I write good stuff worth reading?

Not arrogance or entitlement, a genuine question.
