The Singapore Affair.
As she packed her bags for her trip for a conference in Singapore, Anita looked at her daughter of 10 watch her with sad eyes.
"Don't worry dear, Mummy will be away for just a week, and Grandma will take good care of you" she assured her little one and drew her into a reassuring hug.
"And think of all the goodies and toys that I shall bring back" those words lifted the gloom from little Tripti and she asked her mother not to forget the latest Barbie that he had asked for.
Anita was a career person with a MBA from a prestigious institute. In her mid-forties now she was a VY marketing for large corporation. She had married her classmate after a torrid campus romance, and the marriage had lasted only 10 years in which she had borne her only offspring Tripti.
Post her separation she had moved in with her widow mother, and lived in Delhi where she worked.
Anita though 42 did not look a day older than 35. She worked out regularly and was lithe and fit. Standing 5 feet 7 inches in her socks she drew the attention of all men in the room where she entered. Her most alluring feature was her wide expressive eyes, common to the girls from the Eastern part of India where she belonged to. Add to this was her body shape and figure. She had an impressive breast size of 34C which she found difficult to conceal even in the most modest of clothes. Narrow waist flared out into a modest hip size of 34 and legs that never seem to end. Her Husband was crazy about her breasts and they used to fuck like rabbits in the initial years until they drifted apart. Anita had caught her husband red handed in bed with her best friend and that made her take the decision to walk out with her daughter never to return.
Since then she had been committed herself to her career and steadfastly grown to the position of head marketing in her company. There were lot of men in her organization who lusted for her and tried their hand at seducing her, but she had spurned them all, earning the title of "Ice maiden" among her male colleagues. Anita was so focused on her work, that she never looked for any relations, and her leisure was hanging out with her girlfriends on weekends. Her friends always used to tease her that she needs to get laid, to which she would always say that when the right man came along at the right time she would think about it.
As she got into the cab to the airport, she relaxed and was excited about a week without too much work pressure. Conferences were all about networking within the global community, and also keeping oneself updated about the happening in her area of work. Conference was being held in the luxurious Marina bay sands hotel. Even though she had been to Singapore multiple times she had never stayed at this hotel and was looking forward to exploring all its facilities, and its roof top infinity pool in particular.
She checked in to her flight quickly, and as she was travelling business class made her way to the lounge to grab a drink and something to eat. After entering the lounge she went about looking for a quiet corner, and ordered a Vodka tonic and went about getting herself some food from the buffet.
As she returned to her corner she noticed a distinguished man sitting a few tables away and intently working on his laptop. The person was in his mid to late fifties and looked a bit familiar. She gave him a cursory glance and sat back enjoying her drink and meal.
A little while later the man got up, closed his laptop and put it away. He then got up to move to the bar, and in doing so he had to cross Anita. Just as he was crossing her, he stopped looked at her and said "Anita..." enquiringly.
Surprised Anita looked up and found herself standing in front of Mahesh her ex-boss under whom she had started her career.
