I finished part 1 of this story in early December 2023, forgot about it when I stalled coming up with a second chapter, then dusted it off in Fall of 2024. I edited it some more, remained stuck, and shelved it again. Finally, instead of forcing a second chapter, I came up with an ending that matches the story. Now, with more editing, I have finished it in December 2025, just in time for Christmas and the New Year.
