Rent Matthew

Chapter 3 - Infatuation

The next day and the following week, Gordon didn't see much of Matthew. It was almost as if the kid was intentionally avoiding him.

Matthew was on campus every day, all day, until late at night. Group projects, sports practice, college parties, just about everything took precedence over time spent at home.

During this time, Gordon lived in a state of emotional turmoil. He knew he was infatuated with the kid, he knew he wanted to have Matthew at all costs. But what could he do? The college student had made it clear to him that their relationship was business and nothing more.

One night of passion and then absolute distance. It was more than Gordon could accept. He desired Matthew's youth and sex. Just thinking about the things that he wanted to do to the kid gave him a heartache.

Gordon had money. In the courtroom, he even had power. Why couldn't he just rent Matthew whenever he wanted? Was it really too much to ask?

The attorney's performance at work began to suffer. Gordon couldn't concentrate and was easily distracted. His thoughts were constantly preoccupied with his tenant. But was it just the incredible face and body, or did he want more?

Two weeks flew by before Gordon had the opportunity to confront the college student. He was making breakfast when the teenager ran into him.

"Sorry," apologized Matthew.

Matthew's unintentional body contact with Gordon was the first since that lustful night.

"Have you had breakfast yet?" asked Gordon.

"I'll grab something on campus."

"I made extra. Have some."

Gordon set two plates of food on the table. Matthew hesitated at first, but then began to devour it.

"How have you been?" asked Gordon.

"Busy with school. Yourself?"

"Matthew ... there's something I want to talk to you about."

"If this is about your feelings for me, then I don't wanna talk about it," interrupted Matthew.

The teenager's instincts were usually right. Based on his past experience, he believed it was best to nip such things in the bud.

"Why, Matthew?"

"Because if you really do have feelings for me ... then I'll have to move out."

After draining his glass of orange juice, Matthew brought his plate to the dishwasher.

"Thanks for breakfast."

Matthew headed for the door with his book and gym bags in tote.
