Chapter 29 – The Best Friend

Harvest season had finally arrived. Matthew roped in Alex to help out. However, at the last minute, Matthew was called away for some urgent matter in town, so he left his best friend with Jose.

Jose wasn’t particularly fond of Alex because he viewed the kid as competition. However, Alex was easy on the eyes.

While carefully studying his rival, Jose noticed Alex checking him out. To confirm his suspicions, Jose took the tail end of his shirt to wipe his brow, exposing his abs in the process. As expected, he caught the kid staring.

"Matt talks a lot about you," said Jose.

"What … does he say?"

"That you're good in bed."

"What?"

Alex wasn't sure if he heard Jose correctly, as he was too distracted by the Latin hunk’s muscles.

"Bro, I'm just playing with you. So you're not giving him head?"

"What …? No!"

"But you wish you were. I can tell by the way you look at him. I have the hots for him too, but he's in love with someone else."

"Really?"

"We don't have a chance. Well, maybe you do. You're a lot cuter."

Alex bit his lips. "That's not true."

"Trust me Alex … you’re cute."

Jose was blunt and wanted to see the kid’s reaction.

Alex blushed and bit his lips again. Receiving the approval of a hunk like Jose was a major ego boost.

"You're not so bad yourself."

"Would you kick me out of bed?"

Alex hesitated, but eventually confessed by shaking his head.

“You know, that kind of response could get you laid ….”

Not only was he attracted to Jose, Alex was also drawn to how the Latin man flirted with him. Since he didn’t know how to respond, he bit his lips.

Jose thought it was cute, the way the kid bit his lips. What he didn’t know was that the lip-biting had more to do with how intimidated Alex was by Jose.

“Do you wanna play a game?” proposed Jose.

“What … kind of game?”

“It’s called DARE. You can dare me to do anything. If I’m not able to do it, then you can punish me.”

“Are there any limits to the dare?”

“None. Do you wanna go first?”

“I guess my dare should be meaningful, otherwise you would win too
