Summer Vacation - Part 24

Tommy awoke alone in bed the next morning. Given the way Karen had been all over him lately, that surprised him. He figured they'd wake up and make love. He thought if they did, it might make her forget he'd stood her up the night before. It looked like they wouldn't be making love after all. Oh, well. He got out of bed, went to his room and got dressed. Then, wary of what Karen's mood would be, he walked to the kitchen. Sooner or later, he had to face her. He might as well get it over with.

Karen was at the kitchen counter, her back to him. She wore a yellow man-tailored shirt and tan straight chino skirt. Both the blouse and skirt were somewhat loose, but did little to hide her incredible figure.

"Good morning," Tommy said.

"Good morning," Karen replied. Her reply was sharp and cool and she didn't turn around.

"What's for breakfast?" the young man asked.
