Chapter 3: Establishing Ground Rules

Amazement, awe, disbelief and a slight dose of fear coursed through Skyler. He needed time to think. It was very hard to do with Bryce/Eros sitting there. His very presence was a distraction to end all distractions. To help put some kind of order on his mind, he first made an arbitrary decision concerning what to call this self-professed god. Bryce Jackson was the name he first gave Skyler, so Bryce would be how he thought of him. One thing settled, half a million more to go!

Skyler was at that halfway point of believing Bryce, but still felt that he needed more substantial proof than mere words or coincidence. This was the crux of his problem with everything so far. Dreams not withstanding, nothing really pointed to verifying Bryce's story. He could have easily guessed that he was wondering who he was earlier. Yes, this was the starting point. Everything else depended on proof.

"Bryce do you understand why what you say has me confused and not able to make a decision concerning you? I need proof. It is just the way things are," asked Skyler.

"What proof do you require? What will it take to convince you of my authenticity? Name whatever means that will set your soul at ease with ...
