Harriet Fargo walked down the upstairs hall in her home, headed for her bedroom. When she passed her daughter Micki's room, she thought she heard something that sounded like moaning. The sounds caused her concern. "Is Micki sick?" she wondered. Micki was Harriet's only child and she doted on the teenager more than she knew she should. Harriet's marriage wasn't in very good shape and, although Harriet tried not to think about it, she feared the chances of her marital relationship improving didn't appear good. Taking care of her daughter was an outlet for her, something she could do that made her feel worthwhile. Harriet carefully opened the door of her daughter's room a little bit and peered inside. What she discovered - a discovery that caused her considerable dismay - was that Micki's moans weren't because she was sick. Harriet would have preferred that to what she did see. The sounds emanating from Micki's bedroom, Harriet learned, were sounds of ecstasy, not pain. ...
