The plane ride from Texas to California was a breeze. I slept through most of it and no one bothered me the whole time. I needed a vacation. I had been in The Lone Star State for just over a decade, trying desperately to make a life for myself. It wasn't until I graduated from high school that things started to look my way.

Since I was strongly aware of the drawing power of Denton, I moved there in a heartbeat and immediately set up shop.
