Friendly Guidance

I was so excited and honored that Sherrie asked me to be in her wedding! I have been real close with her since her parents died. Sherrie's mother and I were best friends, and had been since we were in the first grade.

When their plane crashed it just about devastated everyone that knew them. I'm sure no one will ever forget when that happened. Every once in a while I still hear something about their plane crash. I get to the restaurant a little early so I go to the lounge for a quick shot of tequila before Sherrie arrives. Every time I see her I feel like I should just hug her and protect her from life's everyday tragedies. I guess I shouldn't feel so protective of her, but I can't help it. Maybe a shot will ease up my emotions.
