Life couldn't be more predictable. I was only 24 years old and already my life had fallen into a miserable rut. My days consisted of nothing more than sleeping, eating and working. I had no excitement, no thrills and nothing to even look forward to. I was, to say the least, incredible bored with myself.

On an evening seemingly no different than any other, I returned home from a rather dull day at work. Stepping into the elevator to my apartment, my finger reluctantly pressed the 5. I sighed and wondered what to cook up for this evening's solitary dinner.

Strangely, I felt compelled to ammend my earlier rudness and returned his smile with a dazzling one of my own.

A bell chimed and the elevator doors slid open noisily. Glancing up I realized we had reached my floor. I took 3 steps out before giving in to the urge; I turned around. My eyes surveyed him, taking in as much as they could: his crisp expensive-looking suit; a head of shortly-cropped blonde locks; fine, yet strong features.
