With the sad passing of her nana Josephine, at the ripe old age of 89, her granddaughter Carol, a 26 year-old marketing executive from LA, inherits Josephine's Kansas ranch, leaving her with the dilemma of either running it, or selling up.

Authors note(s): To those of you who may live in, or know of, Kansas, as far as I am able to discover there are no trains to and from the two cities mentioned. The fact that I have indicated there are is what is known as poetic license. Although this is the longest story I have written, it is highly enjoyable, and erotic throughout.

Chapter 1: Nana Josephine.

A week ago, being last Friday, I received a phone call from my mum, with the sad news that my nana Josephine had passed away. Almost immediately I broke down, and started crying. That may sound odd for a 26 year-old woman, but I loved my nana quite a lot.

"There, there, Carol," mum said, trying her best to consol me.

"Why, why, mum?" I almost bawled.

"She was 89 years old, Carol, and still managing to keep her ranch going, albeit with help from the cow-hands," mum comforted me.
