Introduction: This sorry story concerns Rachel Walters, who lives in the ground floor flat of no 18. Because she's not that attractive to most men, she - being a spendaholic in order to make herself more appealing, without plastic surgery - had run up her limit on several credit cards and so came up with a devious plan - or so she thought - to obtain more funds.

Rachel Walters worked for an accountancy firm as one of their main executives, and so decided to hire an assistant, as such; least that's what she told her superior who had to sanction it.

Not being too choosy, since she was looking for a scapegoat, Rachel settled for Trevor, someone she saw as a nerdy type, not that appealing to women; so in the looks department they'd be well suited to one another.

Occasionally, Rachel had Trevor sign off on some cheques, which he then paid into an account for her. Not being too bright as to what was happening, and trusting his boss implicitly, Trevor went along with it, however, Rachel had set up the account in a name other than hers (not of importance to this tale), thereby giving her an injection of funds. ...
