Not Dreaming a Nightmare

I made certain that I was at the office early in case Miranda, who is always early, tried to call. I had told her we needed a meeting to solve the threat Kenny issued last evening. I was on my second coffee when she called. Allie wasn't in yet so I ran to my desk and answered the phone in my office. Miranda immediately stopped me in mid-sentence by saying, "Hold on, Gregg. Just a minute." I heard her talking to another person but wasn't able to clearly hear the conversation. I caught little bits but not enough pieces to put together the gist of what was being said. She came back on the line and said, "I'm sorry, Gregg. That was Trent Ferretti informing me of urgency at the branch in Dantonville. I can't talk now. I have to go with him and Suzanne Torre in five minutes. Come by the house about seven and we can hammer out whatever we need to about your urgent problem. Sorry, but I'll see you this evening." She made a kissing sound and then I heard her yell at Heather to bring her briefcase before I heard the bell tone when she hung up.

It's an urgent situation but not critically so. Kenny didn't put any deadlines on his request, but knowing Kenny I can expect one soon. I want to make certain that I'm not dreaming a nightmare. Kenny has as his priority fucking Miranda. I know he had already tried to hit on her but without any luck. He will begin pushing for answer relatively soon.
