About six months or so ago, my sister-in-law Raquel and I were texting each other back and forth. She was getting ready to go in for surgery and I had a couple things going on as well. We were wishing each other luck and hoping that we would both come out of our situations in great shape. I joked around with her and texted that we owed each other a hug and a kiss when our ordeals were all over. She responded, telling me that we definitely did. Last month, we finally got together for my niece's birthday party. Raquel lived next door, upstairs from her parents, but we had both been so busy that we hadn't seen each other in a while.
