Chapter 37 – An Old Friend (1/2)

It was only a bus ride away, his former residence, but going there brought back memories and the profound guilt that came with it. Moving to London was a mistake, for doing so meant leaving his best friend behind.

"Are you … naked?"

"Matthew, is that you?" asked Gordon.

"Have you ever had phone sex?"

"Haha, not really."

"Do you wanna try?"

Matthew’s deep voice was extremely seductive.

"What … are you talking about?"

“If you could have me for 24 hours and I couldn’t say no … what would you do?”

"Don’t tempt me. Why did you call?"

"Gordon … I know it’s a bit last minute, but I need a place to crash tonight. The bus just dropped me off at the university. I'll be there in ten minutes."

* * * * *

In his wildest dreams, Gordon could not imagine Matthew’s return. It was like winning the lottery, or a second chance that life seldom gave.

"Are you just gonna stand there and not invite me in?"

"Matthew … I can’t believe it’s really you."

Gordon stared at the handsome kid standing with a backpack slung over his shoulders.

"Yeah, yeah, follow me."

Matthew dashed upstairs and Gordon followed. The kid’s body was a lot leaner than before, but the perfect shape of that round ass was the same. With the door shut behind them, the boy took off his sweatshirt and retrieved something from his bag.

"Here's the money I owe you."

"Matthew, you don’t have to …."

"Take it," insisted Matthew.

Gordon reluctantly accepted it. He knew how stubborn the kid was when it came to repaying debts.

“Do you mind if I take a shower? It was a long flight.”

* * * * *

The warm shower did wonders for Matthew. He felt more relaxed. However, at the back of his mind, he still thought about Alex.

"Gordon … there’s something I need your help with.”

“What is it?”

“Can you help me find my father?"

"Did … something happen?"
