I was tired.

It had ben a long day so far and there seemed to be no end in sight. I had left for the airport yesterday at two pm, then sat waiting for my flight for three hours only to be rerouted and missed my flight. I was now sitting in another lounge waiting for my next flight scheduled in eight hours.

Scanning the lounge, I could see nothing of I wanted to eat, drink, or do. It was your usual nondescript lounge with bland non offensive decorations, mid grade liquor and advertisements for mid level executives. The majority of people were dressed in kakis and bad polos and were furiously typing on laptops or yelling into their cell phones.

I sat for a while trying to read but the noise of jerks yelling how important their meetings were into their cell phones made it impossible. I got up to use the washroom and walking back to my chair I noticed that this lounge had showers.

"What a nice break from the masses", I thought to myself.

The lounge attendant took my boarding pass in exchange for a key to some relaxation and quiet but unknown to me at that moment I was in for anything but. ...
